Coming in March...

This March is gonna ROCK with a bunch of cool new books written by me -- including my first issue of MARVEL ADVENTURES: SPIDER-MAN!
Check 'em out...

MARVEL ADVENTURES: SPIDER-MAN #37
Written by MARC SUMERAK
Art by ALE GARZA
Cover by SEAN MURPHY

They say the best defense is a good offense and Peter Parker doesn't find anyone more offensive than Midtown High's biggest bully, Flash Thompson! When Peter starts taking self-defense classes, he figures he can finally stand up to Flash without giving away his secret life as the Amazing Spider-Man. Too bad the Taskmaster has other plans for our webbed wonder...

MARVEL ADVENTURES: AVENGERS #22
Written by MARC SUMERAK
Art by IG GUARA
Cover by LEONARD KIRK

The Avengers take a walk on the wild side as they go toe-to-toe -- and claw-to-claw with the savage Sabretooth! Hope you all have current passports, heroes, because this adventure is going to take you deep into the heart of the African jungle... and right into the heart of the mysterious nation known as Wakanda! (Looks like Sabretooth isn't the only cat about to cross the Avengers' paths...)

FRANKLIN RICHARDS: SPRING BREAK!
Written by MARC SUMERAK & CHRIS ELIOPOULOS
Art & Cover by CHRIS ELIOPOULOS

Spring is finally here! The snow is thawing, the days are getting longer, and Franklin Richards is destroying everything in his super hero father's secret lab. (Wait... that last part happens every season!) Franklin Richards comes in like a lion this March in five brand-new tales filled with doohickeys and destruction... and it'll once again be up to his robot pal H.E.R.B.I.E. to handle the spring cleaning after the damage is done! This special one-shot is gonna make the Fantastic Four wish they had gone on a long vacation...

Almost there...

It's almost the holidays... which means I'm currently making a mad dash through a series of last minute deadlines before everyone disappears into a an eggnog induced haze for a week or so.
I'm about halfway done with what will most likely end up being my last completed script of 2007. Hoping to have that completed by this Friday so that I don't have to worry about any angry editors coming down my chimney on Christmas Eve...
Once that is out of the way, I might actually try to enjoy a little bit of holiday cheer next week.
Looking forward to seeing family and friends, celebrating Christmas and New Year's... and, of course, Jeremy & John's Birthday Party For Themselves (Volume 3)!
Then, it's right back to the grind with another script due the first week of January! But hey, it's the life I chose... and I wouldn't trade it!
Hope to see some of you in-between now and then!

Waves

It's weird how life unfolds in constant ebbs and flows.
I had a really rough week last week... but my weekend made up for it.
One friend really let me down... but another picked me right back up.
Work has been jam-packed for weeks... yet now it's suddenly very quiet. (Too quiet...)
And in a week, all of those things will most likely be the exact opposite again.
Enjoy it while it lasts, I say!
(Oh... and if you wanna help me enjoy it, buy my new books on-sale this week!!!)
